Why is water so important???
If you don't get your daily water in, your body goes in survival mode which means it starts storing water. When the body is supplied with sufficient amount of water, it begins to release the water stored in the ankles hips and thighs.
Also without enough water your kidneys are unable to perform their duty. As a result they seek assistance of the liver which means that the liver is unable to perform its usual functions of burning stored fat. So now instead of ridding fat your body is making fat deposits.
When you drink water it aids in flushing toxins etc out of your body! It is extremely important so your organs can operate as they are meant to be.
Now your probably asking "Well how much water do I need to drink each day?" It will vary from person to person. Water needs vary with age, sex, weather, activity level, and overall health. The Institute of Medicine established guidelines for adequate water intake. A great rule of thumb is to drink water when you are thirsty. That is your body telling you that it needs more water.
Can I over hydrate myself?
Might sound crazy, but the answer is YES!! Too much water can dilute important substances in your blood. Remember to check the guidelines above to see what proper water intake would be for you. Now a way to tell how your hydration is, is by checking the color of your urine. In a healthy person if your urine is pale yellow and looks like lemonade then you are nor over or under hydrate. If your urine is darker then you need more water. Now if your urine is colorless you are over hydrated.
So next to you use the restroom check the color and make sure you are maintaining proper water intake.
GO DRINK YOUR WATER 💦
